Purpose of the Study:

  • To investigate whether incisional hernias increase in size during the waiting period for surgical repair.

  • Prospective controlled trial involving 35 patients with incisional hernias (>7 cm transverse fascial defect).
  • Computed tomography (CT) scans and quality of life questionnaires were administered at baseline and before repair (approx. 30 weeks).
