Post-Lumbar Puncture Headache-Does Hydration before Puncture Prevent Headache and Affect Cerebral Blood Flow?

Pre-procedure hydration significantly reduces the incidence of post-lumbar puncture headache (PLPH). This study found that adequate fluid intake before diagnostic lumbar puncture (DLP) is crucial for preventing headaches and monitoring cerebral blood flow changes.

- Baseline cerebral hemodynamic parameters, specifically high Vm and low PI, may predispose patients to developing PLPH.
