What Is GLP-1 Really Doing in Obesity?

The gastrointestinal hormone glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) response to meals is not always decreased in obesity. Studies suggest GLP-1 secretion may be enhanced in obesity, potentially protecting against glucose intolerance.
