Summary

A new colorimetric chemosensor was developed using nuclear fast red (NFR) and poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDADMAC) for detecting mercury ions (Hg2+). This simple method offers a visual pink-to-violet color change for easy mercury detection.
