Keywords:
(1) Preoperative anxiety does exist in a significant proportion of patients scheduled for day care surgery.(2) The factors significantly associated with preoperative anxiety were fear of injection or needles, fear of waking up during the surgery, and the patient's need for additional preoperative information regarding anesthesia and surgery.(3) A preanesthetic workup of a patient with adequate clarification about their doubts and fears related to anesthesia and surgery is recommended to bring down the level of anxiety.Anxietyday care surgerypreoperativerisk factors
