Failure to Rescue in Emergency Surgery: Is Precedence a Problem?

Failure to rescue (FTR) in emergency general surgery (EGS) is a critical metric. This study found FTR precedence rates in EGS are higher than anticipated, similar to elective surgery, highlighting care improvement opportunities.
