Sealing Ability of Endodontic Cements: An In Vitro Study

Achieving a hermetic seal in root canal obturation is crucial for preventing bacterial invasion. Resin cements, particularly EndoREZ® with its own gutta-percha cones, demonstrated superior sealing ability compared to traditional materials in this study.

Conclusions:
- EndoREZ® resin cement combined with EndoREZ® gutta cones provides the best sealing ability, especially in the apical region.
- When using standard gutta-percha cones, Acroseal and EndoREZ® cements exhibit comparable sealing capabilities.
- These findings support the use of resin-based obturation systems for enhanced root canal sealing.
