Summary

Gradient Echo (GE) imaging offers superior contrast for extradural lesions in cervical spine disorders compared to cardiac-gated spin echo (CGSE). However, CGSE excels in visualizing spinal cord lesions, while GE is better for degenerative changes.

Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To compare the diagnostic performance of multislice gradient echo (GE) imaging with cardiac-gated spin echo (CGSE) imaging.
