[Lymphoreticular cells in the human endometrial stroma]

The healthy uterine lining contains abundant immune cells, particularly T-lymphocytes and mononuclear phagocyte system cells, throughout the menstrual cycle. Suppressor/cytotoxic T-cells dominate, with few helper cells and almost no B-cells present.
