Background:

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly utilized in medicine, with growing applications in dermatology.
Understanding Chinese dermatologists' perspectives on AI is crucial due to limited existing research.

Purpose of the Study:

To investigate the attitudes of Chinese dermatologists towards artificial intelligence (AI).
To explore how dermatologists acquire AI-related information and their views on AI's role in clinical practice.

A web-based questionnaire was distributed to 1,228 Chinese dermatologists via the UMER Doctor platform.
Statistical analyses, including Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis H, and Spearman's rank correlation tests, were used to compare attitudes across different demographic and professional groups.
SPSS version 22.0 was employed for data analysis, with a significance level of P <0.05.

Nearly all (99.51%) surveyed dermatologists pay attention to AI information, acquired through diverse sources like the internet and conferences.

Skin tumors were identified as the priority area for AI implementation (91.78%), with secondary hospitals deemed most in need (64.17%).

Chinese dermatologists are highly engaged with AI information and view it as an assistive tool.
AI implementation in dermatology should focus on skin tumors and be prioritized in secondary hospitals.
Further research can explore specific AI tool development and integration strategies based on these findings.
