New epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) are being developed to combat resistance to third-generation treatments in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This research reviews emerging EGFR-TKIs for overcoming acquired resistance mechanisms.
