Sentinel lymph node intraoperative analysis in endometrial cancer

Background:

• Sentinel lymph node (SLN) mapping is increasingly used in endometrial cancer staging, potentially replacing complete lymphadenectomy.
• Intraoperative evaluation of SLNs may help identify patients who would benefit from a full lymphadenectomy.

Purpose of the Study:

• To evaluate the clinical relevance and accuracy of frozen section analysis of SLNs in endometrial cancer patients.
• To determine if frozen section can reliably detect lymph node metastases during surgery.
