  • The patient developed total atrioventricular block, a serious heart rhythm disturbance.
  • Notably, no ventricular escape rhythm was present during the atrioventricular block episode.

  • The total atrioventricular block in this dengue patient resolved spontaneously.
  • No pharmacological intervention or pacemaker insertion was required for the cardiac complication.
  • This suggests a potential for self-resolution of severe atrioventricular block in certain dengue cases.
