  • The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated rapid adaptation to virtual communication tools.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To report experiences with a multiscreen-to-screen platform for virtual scientific events.
  • To evaluate content delivery efficacy in a webinar format.

Main Methods:

  • An observational study of distant Continuing Medical Education (CME) events from December 2019 to April 2020.
  • Content delivery assessed via multiple-choice questions (MCQs) pre- and post-tests or key questions.
  • Videoconferencing integrated with a game platform to reinforce key lecture points.

Main Results:

  • Out of 68 webinars, 21 utilized the multiscreen-to-screen platform, including live lectures, half-day sessions, and panel discussions.
  • Shorter webinar formats correlated with higher participation and lower dropout rates.

Conclusions:

  • Web-conference activities are now standard for scientific meetings.
