- Higher hypoglycemia incidence was noted in the DPP-IV inhibitor plus insulin group (16.3%, P = 0.008), with no significant difference in hospital LOS.

- Inpatient DPP-IV inhibitor use correlated with achieving target mean daily BG levels.
- Consideration of DPP-IV inhibitors is warranted for hospitalized T2DM patients requiring glycemic control.
