Abstract:

Molecular biology techniques are now beginning to be applied to the study of autoimmune thyroid disease. This review provides a background to the molecular biology techniques used, summarizes the limited data presently available in the area of autoimmune thyroid disease, and describes the potential future application of these techniques for further understanding of autoimmune thyroid disease.
