  • Genotyping revealed the presence of PARV4 genotypes 1 and 2 in positive samples.
  • PARV4 DNA showed lower prevalence and concentration compared to B19V DNA.

Conclusions:

  • This study reports for the first time the presence of PARV4 genotypes 1 and 2 in Chinese plasma donors.
  • PARV4 appears less prevalent and at lower levels than B19V in this donor population.
