  • Retrospective cohort study of 1520 cesarean deliveries (June 2017-June 2019).
  • Composite wound complications included infection, disruption, and fluid collection within 30 days.
  • Multivariate logistic regression analyzed patient demographics, comorbidities, and intra-partum factors.

  • 67 out of 1520 patients (4.4%) experienced wound complications.
  • Preeclampsia (OR 5.60) and premature rupture of membranes (OR 9.76) were significant independent risk factors.
  • Average wound care duration was 41.35 days, with 4.85 hospital visits.

Conclusions:

  • Preeclampsia and premature rupture of membranes significantly increase the risk of cesarean wound complications.
  • High-risk patients should receive pre-operative counseling on complication rates and preventive strategies.
