Abstract:
The authors report on three patients with glaucoma and diabetes mellitus, each of whom underwent a unilateral filtering procedure. In all cases a progressive diabetic retinopathy was observed in the treated eye within one to three years. The relative hypotension is considered as a possible cause of the progressive retinopathy.
