- Estimation errors were more pronounced at higher FFM levels and lower FM levels for BIA.
- Regression coefficients could eliminate these estimation biases.

- Existing BIA equations exhibit similar biases in Chilean adults, with slightly less bias for the Schifferli equation.
- Statistically adjusted equations, accounting for population and device specificity, provide clinically valid estimates of FFM and FM.
