Summary

The Focused Institutional Longitudinal Experience (FILE) program, a six-month advanced pharmacy practice experience (APPE), did not differ in quality from traditional APPEs. However, FILE students reported better preparation for post-graduate training and were perceived by preceptors as requiring less orientation.
