Post-swallow voice change is a common indicator for dysphagia risk. However, this review found significant heterogeneity in methods and high bias, preventing consensus on its accuracy for identifying swallowing deficits.

- Further research with standardized protocols is needed to establish the reliability of voice change as a dysphagia indicator.
