    • Nanotechnology

    Background:

    • Chiral metasurfaces exhibit unique chiroptical responses, crucial for applications in biology, chemistry, and optoelectronics.
    • Circular dichroism quantifies the differential absorption of left- and right-handed circularly polarized light, a key characteristic of chiral materials.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To propose and analyze a dynamically tunable chiral metasurface structure.
    • To investigate its potential for terahertz digital imaging with tunable resolution.

    Main Methods:

    • The proposed structure comprises two metal split-ring resonators and a graphene layer embedded in a dielectric medium.
    • Simulations and analysis of structural parameters were performed to understand the chiroptical response.
