Factors associated with pyomyositis: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Pyomyositis, a bacterial skeletal muscle infection, is increasingly seen globally. This study found human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) are significant risk factors for pyomyositis.
