Summary

Colony-stimulating factor 1 (CSF-1) levels are significantly elevated in the peritoneal fluid and menstrual blood of women with endometriosis. This finding suggests CSF-1 can serve as a diagnostic and prognostic marker for endometrioid disease progression.
