Abstract:
A method has been developed whereby with the aid of computerized tomography, an exact replica of the maxilla or mandible can be fabricated. This method has been utilized to eliminate the surgical bone impression phase of the subperiosteal implant technique. This now allows the reconstruction of the maxilla or mandible with a subperiosteal implant done in one surgical appointment.
