Intra uterine device migrating into the bladder with stone formation

A rare case of an intrauterine device (IUD) perforating the uterus and bladder led to stone formation. The bladder stone and ectopic IUD were successfully removed using laser and transurethral resection.

Background:

- The bladder stone associated with the ectopic IUD was successfully fragmented and removed using YAG Holmium Laser lithotripsy.
- The perforating intrauterine device was subsequently extracted without complications via a transurethral resectoscope.
