[Common carotid artery rupture after operation of primary thyroid squamous cell carcinoma: a case report]

Primary squamous cell carcinoma of the thyroid is a very rare tumor, accounting for less than 1% of all thyroid tumors. In addition, primary thyroid squamous cell carcinoma progresses rapidly and the prognosis is poor. The average survival time is about 6 months. This article explores the causes and treatment of common carotid artery rupture after thyroid squamous cell carcinoma involving the common carotid artery, esophagus, trachea, recurrent laryngeal nerve, methods and prognosis.
