Demodicosis Imitating Acne Vulgaris: A Case Report

Summary
Demodicosis, a mite infestation, can mimic acne and be misdiagnosed. This case shows a patient whose Demodex mite condition shifted types and responded well to ivermectin treatment.

- The patient responded well to oral ivermectin and metronidazole gel, with symptom resolution within 4 weeks.

- This case highlights Demodicosis's potential to mimic acne vulgaris.
- It is the first reported instance of a clinical type change in Demodicosis, from pityriasis folliculorum to folliculitis-like type.
