Evaluation of peripheral olfactory pathways in chronic autoimmune thyroiditis.

Patients with chronic autoimmune thyroiditis showed reduced olfactory bulb (OB) volume. Euthyroid Hashimoto's thyroiditis patients did not exhibit this OB volume decrease, suggesting potential odor dysfunction in hypothyroid individuals.
