    Area of Science:

    • Gastroenterology
    • Oncology
    • Immunology

    Background:

    • Kaposi's sarcoma is a known complication of acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS).
    • Gastrointestinal involvement, particularly in the colon, is common in AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma but often asymptomatic.
    • The co-occurrence of colonic Kaposi's sarcoma and ulcerative colitis in non-AIDS patients is exceptionally rare.
