  • A scoping review of 500 gambling and problem gambling studies published between January 1, 2016, and December 1, 2019.

  • Implementing open science principles can potentially increase research impact and visibility.
  • Practical strategies are needed to promote wider adoption of open science in gambling studies and beyond.
