Summary

Minimally invasive distal pancreatectomy (MIDP) offers shorter hospital stays but shows higher rates of post-operative pancreatic fistula (POPF) compared to open distal pancreatectomy (ODP). Further research is needed to address this POPF risk in MIDP.
