Glutathione regeneration in density-fractionated human erythrocytes

When human erythrocytes were separated into fractions of increasing density, the measured rate of glutathione regeneration did not decline as much as predicted by computer simulation. This phenomenon can be explained by the heterogeneous distribution of hexokinase activity in the less-dense fractions.
