Summary

Background:

The transosseous-equivalent Speedbridge™ technique is a common rotator cuff repair method.
Soft bone in the lateral humerus can lead to anchor toggling and repair de-tensioning.

Purpose of the Study:

To present a modified technique for rotator cuff repair that enhances anchor stability.
To reduce stress on lateral humerus anchors during transosseous-equivalent repairs.

Main Methods:

A novel technique involving an additional third-row anchor was developed.
This third anchor is placed in a tripod configuration with the lateral row anchors.

Main Results:

The tripod technique effectively reduces forces exerted on the lateral humerus anchors.
