Can Breastfeeding Protect from Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C)? A Preliminary Study

Breastfeeding may not prevent Multi-System Inflammatory Syndrome in children (MIS-C). This study found a lower breastfeeding rate in MIS-C patients compared to the Spanish median, suggesting no clear protective effect. Further research is needed.

- The findings do not conclusively support breastfeeding as a preventative measure against MIS-C.
- Larger studies are required to confirm whether breastfeeding protects against MIS-C, unlike its established role in KD prevention.
