Papular tuberculids post-BCG vaccination.

    Summary

    A rare skin reaction, papular tuberculids, occurred in an infant 48 hours after a tuberculin patch test. This finding, following BCG vaccination, suggests a localized complication rather than systemic tuberculosis.

    • A 3-month-old infant presented with a symmetrical papular rash on extremities, enlarged lymph nodes after BCG vaccination, and liver enlargement.
    • Initial differential diagnoses included Gianotti-Crosti syndrome and generalized tuberculosis, which were subsequently ruled out.
