[A case of traumatic renal artery thrombosis]

A case of traumatic renal artery thrombosis is reported. The patient is a 14-year-old girl with the chief complaint of hypertension. She was admitted to our hospital about a month after a traffic accident. An IVP demonstrated nonvisualization of the right kidney and complete occlusion of the right renal artery was revealed by aortography. Right nephrectomy was performed, because atrophy of the right kidney was marked. A week after the operation, her blood pressure became normal. We present our case and review the literature.
