Background:

  • Primary orbital lymphoma (POL) is a rare orbital malignancy, representing less than 1% of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL).
  • Orbital diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a prevalent subtype of POL associated with poor outcomes.
  • Prognostic factors for orbital DLBCL are not well-established.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To identify independent predictive factors for the prognosis of orbital DLBCL.
  • To analyze survival outcomes based on demographic, clinical, and treatment variables.
  • To provide insights into the management of this rare orbital malignancy.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective analysis of the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database.
  • Inclusion of primary orbital DLBCL cases diagnosed between 2000 and 2017.
  • Kaplan-Meier analyses for overall survival (OS) and cause-specific survival (CSS).
