Risk Factors for Superficial Thrombophlebitis: A Retrospective Case Control Study

Superficial thrombophlebitis (STP) risk factors include a history of venous thromboembolism (VTE) or STP, immobilization, varicose veins, inherited thrombophilia, and obesity. These clinical factors independently predict hospital presentation for STP.
