Corporate connections

Mutually beneficial connections can be made between academic institutions and industry to meet respective goals and objectives. The University of Texas System Cancer Center cooperated with a major oil company to form such a connection. The link provided the center with funds to produce videotaped cancer detection and prevention modules for employees of the company. This connection and others like it may prove essential to the future well being of biomedical communication units.
