Adjunctive sepsis therapy with aminophylline (STAP): a randomized controlled trial

Aminophylline, an anti-inflammatory drug, significantly reduced sepsis mortality by 14% compared to usual care in a randomized trial. This adjunct therapy also prolonged survival time in critically ill patients.
