Red Blood Cell Transfusion Prior to Lung Transplantation: Impact on Patient Outcomes

Red blood cell (RBC) transfusions before lung transplantation are linked to higher patient mortality and adverse events like dialysis and stroke. However, transfusions did not impact chronic graft rejection development.
