  • A 24-hour observational study recorded electrocardiogram monitor alarm events.
  • A cross-sectional survey assessed ICU nurses' views on alarm management using validated questionnaires.
  • Data were analyzed using SPSS 23.

Main Results:

  • Over 13,000 alarms were recorded; 1191 nurses participated in the survey.
  • Nurses found smart alarm systems, notification systems, and administrators beneficial for alarm management.
