[Changes in micro- and macroelements as affected by sex and age in hybrid pigs]
Abstract:
Studies were carried out with a total of 380 hybrid Camborough pigs differentiated by sex and age (when one, two, three, and four months old). The quantitative fluctuations of microelements, such as iron, zinc, and copper and macroelements, such as potassium and sodium were followed up as dependent on sex and age. There were differences in the levels of these indices for both male and female animals at various ages. Determined were the physiologic parameters of some of the microelements of group I after Kovalskii's classification as well as those of potassium and sodium with Camborough pigs. Determined were also the differential age ranges for iron, zinc, copper, potassium, and sodium.
