  • To provide a basis for curriculum development and workplace assessment in anesthesiology residency programs.

Main Methods:

  • A modified Delphi consensus process was used with an expert panel.
  • EPAs were abstracted from existing literature.
  • An 80% consensus rate determined the acceptance of EPAs.

Main Results:

  • A final list of 28 EPAs was established.
  • 14 EPAs (50%) were deemed applicable to the CA-1 residency year.

Conclusions:

  • The developed EPAs are appropriate for workplace-based assessment.
  • The study ensures the EPAs support entrustment decision-making in residency training.
