Rethinking False Positive Exercise Electrocardiographic Stress Tests by Assessing Coronary Microvascular Function.

Exercise electrocardiographic stress testing (EST) is highly specific for detecting coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD) in patients with angina and nonobstructive coronary arteries (ANOCA). This study found EST accurately identifies an ischemic substrate, challenging previous assumptions about its false positive rate.
