The "disposable" flap: a modified fornix flap for corneal retraction during cataract surgery

A simple and rapid method to facilitate corneal retraction with a fornix-based conjunctival flap is described. The procedure eliminates the need for placement of a corneal traction suture during cataract surgery and lens implantation.
