Background:

  • Computed tomography (CT) was used for comprehensive assessment of feeding vessels and associated injuries.
  • The patient underwent endovascular intervention using n-butyl-2 cyanoacrylate biological glue.

Findings:

  • Successful treatment of high-flow priapism via transcatheter arterial embolization.
  • Post-intervention, the patient experienced normal erectile function and sexual activity after 40 days with sildenafil.
  • Transcatheter arterial embolization demonstrated clinical efficacy and safety in managing this condition.

  • Transcatheter arterial embolization is the preferred treatment for high-flow priapism due to its efficacy and safety.
  • This minimally invasive approach helps preserve erectile function and reduces the risk of secondary erectile dysfunction.
