Summary

Environmental pollutant 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin (TCDD) induced depression-like behaviors in mice. This suggests a role for aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) and environmental contaminants in major depressive disorder (MDD).
